Maybe i am over reacting but i usually have my money right at midnight on Tuesdays but with the holiday and the tele cert issue i was not able to certify until Monday, and as of right now my money is not in the bank, anyone know when i should expect it? i am out of money n this is freaking me out

I know there was a holiday but this site is hear to vent so I'm VENTING I was expecting cash today, I forgot about the holiday. Now if i don't get paid promptly tomorrow, I won't be able to pay a debt I owe. It FUCKING SUCKS!!!

I got my last payment on 2/8/12 and now it's 2/21/12. All my forms are current and I haven't been notified of any problems with my claim. Is anyone else experiencing this kind of delay? If so, does anyone have an idea as to why?

Might be disqualified from EDD benefits??? Help…

I just received a notice that I have a telephone interview that I filed my continued claim form late. I filled these forms late because I had to leave town O(actually went out of state) to care for my sister, who is undergoing chemotherapy, and I had to take care of her 3 kids. I did email the EDD about this matter, but received no response. I filled the forms upon my return, and now I understand that I'm at risk of the EDD disqualifying me from getting employment benefits for these weeks. Can they do that? Isn't my reason VERY valid? Thanks...

I usually try not to complain, but I strongly feel that EDD should have a working phone number where a live representative can assist customers. All the times I've called, it's always the same generic automated message stating that due to the high volume of calls that EDD is experiencing, try calling at a later time. The same message no matter what time I call. This is just another lie from EDD when in reality there will never be a live representative to assist any customers. Why does it take so long to receive my ach load credit when I’ve sent my claim twice and filled out everything completely. Is there any money for EDD? I need my money now, why is it taking so long. I still haven't been paid for the week period ending 02/12/2012. This is ridiculous, i have bills to pay today not next week after week of waiting. Life sucks, I’m at the end of my rope now. If i don't get paid soon, i have no choice but to seek other alternatives and who is to blame for this - the EDD who steals peoples money and then drags out the waiting of receiving a low income pay check. It's not like it's much, but at least it's better than having no money at all.

Web cert won't let me submit my bi-weekly claim like I would normally do. It's only letting me a submit a weekly claim. Is anyone else having the same problem?

The EDD does have staff currently working to remedy some technical issues with the Tele-cert option for certifying for unemployment benefits. We are sorry for this inconvenience. In the meantime, you may be eligible to use the online Web-cert option as many of you have mentioned. Just visit the EDD website at www.edd.ca.gov and click on the Unemployment tab. We hope to have Tele-cert back up and operating soon.

I received a letter from the EDD two weeks ago stating from 1/29/2012-1/28/2012 my weekly claim would be $171 weekly. I've been unemployed since 10/30/11 and have been receiving $205 weekly since early November. My last claim that I received through EDD Web-cert was for 1/29-2/4 (one weeks worth) of $171. I'm wondering why my 2/5-2/19 claim is not showing up on the Web-cert website? Typically my claims show up days prior the last date of the claim. Has this happened to anyone>
