I went on annual training in the Washington Army National Guard, and now my Unemployment Insurance benefits have been stopped. There are no answers. There is no one I can talk to. When I restart the benefits, I get letters in the mail as if I’m starting all over. When I call the number for the “Investigations” office, they say my account is under investigation for my leaving the country, which I did on orders with the National Guard. Now I am back to being unemployed, but it has been Six Weeks of Pending payments. I think it is a trick of the system to not pay out, and I’m forced to borrow money. They just keep putting me off, week after week. They don’t even respond to messages, and all their answers are simple bureaucratic nonsense answers. I would go to work for UBER or at Pizza if I could, or if they will let me. It doesn’t look like I will ever get another cent from UI. If you don’t pay UI claims, then eventually claimants find a way out it without the help. Is this a success story for them? I wish I had some kind of answer for what they are actually investigating. How do I get that bullshit job?

I’ve been sending monthly payments for an alleged overpayment(plus 30% interest)since Feb.2016-amount owed was $2,927-now down to $628.Then I got a letter from them claiming “review of your account-you are not sending minimum payment each month”-now they want 3 times the amount I usually pay by 9/15/17 or they will take legal action against me & I’ll owe them even MORE money-WTF????? I don’t know if they’re trying to strongarm the remaining amount quicker or if somebody there is trying extort extra $$ for themself or if it’s an “honest mistake”.MAYBE if they upgraded their computers from Windows 98 to something a bit more current I wouldn’t be dealing with this BULLS—!!!!! I called the 800-676-5737 and my balance IS correct. I always send my payments via certified mail so I know when they’re received & I have all my monthly statements & USPS receipts so I really don’t know what to do now!!!! EDD NEVER answers their phones, you can’t e-mail them & they hide behind p.o. boxes. There is an address for letters to collections I could try & hope they ACTUALLY read it!!!! I’d appreciate any advice on how to deal with this. F-CK EDD!!!!!!!

So I’m very confused here. I worked a part time job for 2 years (20 hours a week or so) and the restaurant i worked for was closed. I’m also a full time student, so i thought i would take advantage of California’s unemployment while looking for a job and going to school. So i applied and got my debit card and first payment, but haven’t been paid again, and that was 2 months ago. I’m having a phone interview, but i’m confused, do i need to get a full time job? Full time would be difficult with my schedule, so I am only wanting to get a part time job, like the one i filed my claim off of. I believe that they are questioning my eligibility due to me saying no to the question regarding if I’m available to work full time on the claim form. So i put no to that, since i want to work part time, not full time, and still answered yes to looking for work. So my question is, do i need to get a full time job to get benefits? Even after applying for unemployment on a part time job?

I quit my job due to sexual harassment/being asked to do unethical behavior. I have a phone interview. How does this process go?

Hi everyone, so i recently applied to receive UI benefits and i was approved, i will be getting around 250 a week but i recently got called in for an interview with Spirit halloween, it went well and offered me a position, now that i have that job offer, i dont know wheather to collect the UI benefits or accept the job offer at spirit. i am on here asking because i will only b employed for the holloween season which is one month. if i do accept this job, does anyone know what will happen to my UI benefits? i dont think i will b making as much money if i were to be hired because hours are scarce and it will b part time. My other question is if i do accept the job, after its over, would i b able to re apply for UI benefits NOT through spirit, but through the job i had before?? i really hope i worded this correctly to have ANYONE understand where im coming from or have been in this situation before. PLEASE HELP

THANK YOU

My last day of work was a Monday.

My first Continued Claim form shows the 1st claim week beginning on the Sunday before my last day of work. I assume then that I should list my last day of work on this form?
