After waiting 10 days, writing to the President of the US, the Governor, and the Attorney General of CA, I went to the BofA EDD Card Web page to see if I could get out of my Direct Deposits/auto transfers. You Can!!!! See if there is anything showing in “pending transactions” in the Balance/Transactions History under Accounts Summary heading. If not, go to “Schedule Transfer” also under Accounts Summary. Delete the scheduled transfer. Then go to the Profile heading click on Manage Transfer to Accounts, and delete all your information. Then run, don’t walk to your nearest B of A and ask the teller for a “Visa Manual Cash Disbursement” and hand her/him your card. THERE IS NO FEE!!! Take the full amount and then go deposit it in your own bank. The only way to make B of A do what it is supposed to do, is to hit them in their ASSests. Watch your account online and you’ll see when EDD transfers YOUR money to B of A, try to go there that day or the next and take the full amount again! I know this is a hassle for some of us, but it’s the only way to get what is ours now!!!!! YOUR PARTICIPATION IS NECESSARY – THE MORE FOLKS THAT DO THIS = THE BIGGER THE BLOW!!!!!

I exhausted all my UI money in first 26 weeks. I called EDD and actually spoke to a rep who said my first extension would be filed automatically. I did receive a new DE-4581 this week but that detachable stub at the top of the form only has my name, SSN, and a date from 3 years ago when I first ever filed for UI claims (I had been employed from 09/09 until 07/11.) The stub does not have any info about dollar amounts. Regardless of all this info my question is, can I expect to receive more money since my first extension has been filed or did I exhaust all of my benefits for this year in 26 weeks?

Did anyone else not get their payment today? I didnt get the email saying its transferring to my bank account, nor did I receive the deposit of funds. I sent an email asking about it to EDD and they did not reply, then I called and could not get through. Whats the deal?

Doesn't look encouraging to me. Makes me wonder if California will ever recover from the financial mess it's in.

I have one of the EDD Bank of AMerica debit cards - I can't use it because their Visa system is down - and it's been down all afternoon. I first found out about the problem when I tired to pay for my groceries - and the clerk told me my card had been declined. I had to leave the store without my merchandise - HOW EMBARRASING!!!! I had quite a bit of money in the account and went to B ofA - they told me thier Visa system was down and I was out of luck unless I wanted cash - there is NO WAY I am going to carry cash - that was around 1pm - it is almost 6pm and it is still down. WTF SO I CANT GO SHOPPING TONIGHT BECAUSE B OF A IS CLOSED!!!!!!!!!!!!
