I lost my job in October. I received my severance check shortly after and reported the earnings to EDD as required. A week later my prior company sent me 100 out of nowhere. EDD found out held my benefits for a 4 weeks until they interviewed. My phone interview lasted 5 mins and I thought it ended on a good note and everything was cleared up. 2 more weeks go by and I finally get payments coming in. The last for 2 weeks. I get a notice in the mail that I owe 62, I gladly pay and they cash the check. Still no benefits. I call call call call call call call and nothing! One day I called 182 times! finally they respond to my email. I'm currently serving 6 week penalty period. So EDD telling me that since I got 100 minus 62 that I paid back. That I can live off of 38 and that will feed my child. They are insane! Severe punishment for a honest mistake. If I knew I was receiving the money I would of claimed it. No heads up, I read all the letters several times and it did not mention any penalties.

Yes, it seems like many people are experiencing very late payments this month. It's horrible, and you can't get through to EDD, and they haven't answered 2 online emails I sent them. I certified for this past payment on 1/15/12, and it is now 1/28/12, and I have not received the payment on my EDD debit card. It is time now to certify for the next payment. EDD should have the courtesy and compassion to let us know what is going on, on their website and Facebook page. Our lives and well-being is at risk...not to mention possible eviction. Unbelievable.

I sent in my claim form last saturday as it was due by the 22nd I did recieve payment from edd but I normally recieve the claim form friday or saturday and after checking the mail I see that it is not here? Just wondering if anyone else has not recieved theirs either? Thank you

I get an e-mail from BOA saying my EDD account has been updated---Such crap!!!! Updated? What did they update? The font?---My account has sat at .79 for 10 days now. I know I'm not the only one out here waiting for their money. There is some comfort in knowing I'm not alone in Hell. But what in the fresh hell is BOA doing adding insult to injury?! --ty for letting me vent.
