award letter

So i got fired on the 28th,got an award letter then received a letter for phone interview on the 15th. Haven’t heard anything back yet but i got paid for the second week. A couple days ago it notified me to reopen my claim. I didn’t want to because i didn’t want to mess anything up. Well i reopened my claim yesterday, now is telling me to reopen my claim again. I have no idea what’s going on, i can only assume my claim was approved because i got paid for the week that wasn’t my waiting period. Any advice?

I filed my new claim on week of 01/08/17 to 01/14/17. I was approved. I received my notice of award letter. I also had two weeks work of work search to clerify. I mailed them back the same day I got them on Saturday, 1/21/17, I already have my direct deposit set up from the last claim last year. I was wondering if do you think I will get any money this week?

BTW the website keeps crashing, and tele cert wouldnt let me do it either. Paper is the only way I could do it.

Thank you!

I filed for unemployment in Dec and because of where my base period landed it did not capture the majority of my income I recently made. SO I never filed an online claim form and canceled my claim to refile in Jan to adjust my base. It worked and I ended up receiving an award letter that went from $100 per week from the award in Dec to $400 per week in Jan. I went to file my claim form online today and webcert is telling me I can fill out two weeks of continued claim forms but the problem is webcert is still showing the balance of my initial canceled claim in Dec at $100 per week and not the new claim of $400. Should I still fill out the claim forms on webcert and assume I will be paid the correct amount of $400 and the site will be updated or do I need to wait and call?

I just went to certify online and got a message that I have a personalized job assistance appointment in a few weeks. This is the second time I have had to go to one of these, last time I was unemployed a few years ago. It’s frustrating because both times I have an active resume on Cal Jobs and last time I went I was there for like 2 minutes. Does anyone know why they schedule people who have updated/active resumes on Cal Jobs? I updated it the day I applied for unemployment, I didn’t even wait for the award letter to come in the mail, so I was well within the 28 days or 21 days. Do they just choose people at random?

I was on unemployment 4years ago and recently got laid off (go me). I was issued a B of A debit card that expires in the next month. I’ve received my award letter and have certified for the past two weeks. It sows online that I’ve been “paid”. Since I’m new to their new online certification process. Will I be issued a new card in the mail or will they disburse the amount on my original debit card?

I welcome your answers and thank you in advance

I was let go from a job where I was misclassified as a contract worker at the end of October. Filed for unemployment the next day.

I received an award letter for 0. Contacted them to determine my classification, which took two months, but I sent in documentation, had a phone interview, and received a new award letter that dated back to my original filing about 10 days ago.

Now what? I haven’t received claim forms or an EDD card or anything else. Should I be doing something or just waiting. It’s already been three months of no money and I really need to get this going.
