in Where's my Money!?

So far here’s my experience with CA EDD. I recently applied for unemployment on 7/10/17. After the one week waiting period I began receiving my money the first week on 7/31. I certified online, and the first full 2 week check came in the following week as they were late with mailing the paperwork. I posted it on Sunday, and by Sunday night the money was in my B of A account. However 2 weeks later when I certified for my continued claim, I noticed EDD had my money pending. I thought it was because I needed to attend the REA appointment which happened to fall on the same week. However, after the appointment I noticed the money was still pending. I finally called Thursday morning the 800-300-5616 number and I was able to get someone in 5 minutes and lo and behold the customer service rep told me that a mail they sent to my previous employer came back as undeliverable which is why they held my payment. What?!!! I was pissed, because they did not send me a letter or email telling me about this. Anyway I gave them the address of my employer, they had something way different from a company with a similar name, and the lady said my money will be paid out in 24-48 hours. Wow! Luckily I called or I would’ve still been waiting for my money. With bills to pay and school supplies to purchase I was getting worried. So if you see your money saying pending after a day or two do not hesitate to call, these suckers will hold your money for any little thing. Call Thursday or Friday mornings around 8a.m. to get a hold of someone.

well. at first it looked like i was getting benefits. online on edd ui it showes how much a week and the total amount. so i certefied for benefits, waited and it said disqualification now that i certefied the second time it says it agian. the i received a letter in the mail saying something about the tax withholdings. i called edd and a lady told me that i got denied benefits cuz i didnt worked in the past 12 month. i receivbed benefits before started last july on the 25th of 2016 and i ran out jan. 2017. so i reapplied june 2017. idk if i applied to early or what but it is still showing online that i have abalance. and i never received a denie letter saying i got denied and should fiele for an appeal, no instead i keep receiving the continued claim forms. so im confused. plus the senate approved extensions for 2017.dose someone know whats going on

Hi! So this is my 3rd time being on state disability (California) I just started this new claim early March and I’ve already done one continued claim (2500A) for a 14 day period and now I have to do another one at the end of this 14 day period. I’ve never had these so frequently. Normally it’s every few months or so. Does anyone have any idea why?

When I fill out EDD’s online continued claim form I can only get through a few pages before it crashes and I get a “This site cannot be reached” error message. Then I have start over again from scratch only to have it do the same thing again!

And of course EDD’s phone lines are too busy to take my call! I only have two more days to certify before I’m considered late!

Is anyone else experiencing these issues right now?

Thanks.

I filed for unemployment in Dec and because of where my base period landed it did not capture the majority of my income I recently made. SO I never filed an online claim form and canceled my claim to refile in Jan to adjust my base. It worked and I ended up receiving an award letter that went from $100 per week from the award in Dec to $400 per week in Jan. I went to file my claim form online today and webcert is telling me I can fill out two weeks of continued claim forms but the problem is webcert is still showing the balance of my initial canceled claim in Dec at $100 per week and not the new claim of $400. Should I still fill out the claim forms on webcert and assume I will be paid the correct amount of $400 and the site will be updated or do I need to wait and call?
