What’s going on up there?

I got my last payment on 2/8/12 and now it's 2/21/12. All my forms are current and I haven't been notified of any problems with my claim. Is anyone else experiencing this kind of delay? If so, does anyone have an idea as to why?

The one time I had a delay was because I filled out the Claim form wrong. I had to have a phone interview to continue my claim.

Is it because of the holiday?…. I don.t think anyone got paid today…did they??

I’ve noticed that I would get paid on Wednesday’s when Monday is a Holiday. I do know that BofA sometimes does not process certain files on Holidays (they laid me off along with thousands of others). It also depends on when EDD sends the file to BofA for processing. I don’t know if they accumulate both Sunday and Monday’s certifications and send them for processing on Tuesday or if they do them separately. I have noticed that the money is normally loaded onto the EDD Debit Card late at night (Tuesday if a holiday, otherwise on Monday) if I certified on Sunday, then transferred to my checking account the next morning. Again, I’m only speculating based on my IT background and DON’T know for sure.

I usually Tele-Cert, but used Web-Cert for the first time on Sunday since the Tele-Cert option was down. I submitted succesfully and it had 2/19 as my submission date.
I logged on just now to check, and the submission date now says ’2/21′. Does anyone know what this means? I’m hoping it means they processed it today, but I’m worried it might mean a delay.

As soon as someone sees money on their card…. could you let us know…..thanks a lot!

Every time you log into Web-Cert after submitting the claim it changes the submission date to your current log in.

Yeah, I called today and sure enough — the last payment made was on 02/06, which (depressingly) tells me EDD took Monday off and is (hopefully) processing our claims today. Would be nice if EDD could post something on their website to let us know what the hell is going on.
Now whether or not B of A is backlogged due to the holiday will show us if we get paid Wed or Thurs.
I’m convinced that EDD only hires people with IQ’s of less than 50. Good luck everyone!

I’m hoping that means I’ll get paid tonight. I’ll leave a comment here either way, in case others are in the same boat.

The BofA EDD Website appears to be down… maybe its just jammed up with people. I also called the number on the back of the card and it said “please call back, we are currently updating our systems.”

The Bank of America EDD login was down for me too, but lo and behold, my money is in there after agonizing all day. I hope others get theirs as soon as possible!
I did the Web-Cert on Sunday morning, not sure if the holiday on Monday would delay payments until later Wednesday or Thursday, and would like others to know if they filed through the web on the 19th the same as I, they will likely get theirs between now and late night. Good luck to everyone and thanks to those in this thread for good comfort having read they got theirs earlier.

The b of a toll free number to check the edd balance… does that not update until midnight?

I checked the BofA EDD website at 9 pm last night and saw that the money and been deposited and a transfer initiated to my checking account. I also received an email at 8:52 notifying me of the impending transfer. The money was in my checking account (also at BofA) this morning.
